Planet AGU Conference Display: Visualizing Earth's Changes

The Challenge

Planet needed to effectively showcase their satellite imaging capabilities while engaging a sophisticated audience of over 25,000 scientists, educators, policymakers, and journalists at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Conference.

The Solution

We designed an integrated display system that focused on Planet's two key satellite data offerings: high-resolution 50cm SkySat imagery and medium-resolution 3.7m PlanetScope data. The booth featured a clean, modern design with striking satellite imagery demonstrating real-world applications, including:

Agricultural analysis in Lincoln, Nebraska, showcasing how PlanetScope data helps optimize crop yields
Coastal monitoring in Tampa, Florida, illustrating environmental impacts of hurricane activity

The design highlighted partnerships with NASA, the European Space Agency, and other global initiatives. A small counter served as a meeting spot for conversations with attendees.

The Impact

The booth design successfully positioned Planet as a leading provider of Earth observation data for the scientific community. By showcasing actual case studies and real-world applications, we demonstrated how Planet's technology enables:
